Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned professional who is a detail oriented, self starter to join our team as the leader of our finance department. The right individual will provide strategic direction and oversight of all aspects of our financial operations including firm reporting, compliance, technology, accounting and tax. Our goal is to find someone who will work alongside us with a strong desire to implement and enhance best in class procedures, scalability, and growth. This role will partner with the leaders of the relationship management, sales, and investment departments to ensure a cohesive organization and execute our firm’s vision.


This position will begin remotely, as our firm is currently an entirely remote workforce due to precautions related to COVID-19.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the production of the firm financial statements, tax filings, business filings and insurance renewals.
  • Coordinate with third party accounting firms and custodians to ensure firm and client needs are being met efficiently and proactively.
  • Review account performance records, cost basis, composites, and portfolio valuations.
  • Partner with firm’s leaders to assess reporting needs at the firm and department levels, and automate processes to continuously deliver timely and accurate reporting.
  • Oversee the firm’s compliance program to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements as well as adherence to internal policies and procedures.
  • Lead annual compliance review process, manage regulatory examinations and investigations, and perform quarterly internal examinations to maintain best practices.
  • Manage relationship with our outsourced IT vendor to proactively analyze and meet the needs of all employees, as well as research and implement new financial technology solutions.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in wealth management, finance, accounting, private equity, or related industry
  • Preferred Degrees: Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting
  • Highly organized, extremely detail-oriented, desire and ability to solve complex problems
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
